Translate Media and Generate Dubbing
Smart Translation offers audio/video text translation and video translation with dubbing. The first recognizes and translates text from media. The second handles video translation, subtitles, and optional dubbing.
Before you start
Prepare a readable source file and select a valid project. An episode is optional. This page only selects existing episodes; use the project workspace to create one first if needed.
Available languages, file sizes, durations, and source counts follow the current page's limits. Text translation accepts one audio or MP4 file per task. Video translation accepts MP4 files and can process multiple sources within the displayed limit.
1. Choose a mode and upload sources
- Select audio/video text translation or video translation with dubbing.
- Confirm the project and optional episode.
- Select or drag files into the source area. Wait for uploads and media information reading to finish.
Changing the mode or project clears the selected sources, so make these choices before uploading. If media information reading fails, use the retry action. If it still fails, remove the file and check its format.
2. Choose languages and processing options
Select the source language and at least one target language. A target cannot match the source language. Search languages by name or code.
Video translation also provides these options:
| Setting | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Generate dubbing | Enable target-language dubbing; this narrows the target list to supported dubbing languages |
| Dubbing mode | Choose from the currently supported modes |
| Preserve background audio | Choose whether to retain background audio when dubbing is enabled |
| Subtitle handling | Replace, retain, overlay translated subtitles, or remove subtitles |
| Subtitle removal precision | Choose a tier when replacing or removing source subtitles |
| Maximum subtitle lines | Configure line count when replacing or overlaying translated subtitles |
Enabling dubbing or changing the source language can change the selected target languages. Check them again before submitting.
3. Review the quote and submit
Wait for the estimated cost, then expand the charge breakdown and per-source details if needed. Translation and dubbing are charged per target language. Subtitle removal, background audio handling, and other settings may also affect the quote.
Select the submit action. The page asks you to complete missing prerequisites if the quote is unavailable, media information failed to load, or a project, source, or target language is missing. Review the updated quote after changing options.
What you should see
The preview shows task status and detailed progress, with processing items grouped by source and target language. Return through History for long videos or batches; you do not need to submit again to check progress.
- Text translation: read time-stamped translated text and download SRT, VTT, TXT, Excel, JSON, or the complete package.
- Video translation: select a source and language, preview available results, and download the video, dubbing audio, or subtitles offered on the page.
- Partial completion: check each item's status and error. Use completed items first; any refunded amount follows the value actually shown.
Download results before any retention deadline shown on the page. Expired or cleaned-up outputs are unavailable for preview and download.
Troubleshooting
- Cannot submit or no quote: confirm a valid project, finished uploads, readable media information, and selected target languages. Resolve any quote error first.
- Only some items finished: inspect source and language errors individually and download completed results. Avoid submitting the entire batch again unnecessarily.
- Missing history or failed downloads: clear mode, status, date, and search filters, then refresh. Open task details to check retention. If the issue remains, record the task ID and error and contact support.
