Projects, Canvas, and Editing

Organize Work in a Project Workspace

Open Projects

A project workspace brings episodes, assets, and canvases together. For collaborative or ongoing production, choose the project and episode before opening a generation page, canvas, or editor.

Before you start

You must be a project member. Joining a team does not automatically make you a member of every project. Ask the project manager to check your access if a project is missing.

If you need a project, follow Create Your First Team Project. Alternatively, open Canvas Creation, select “New Canvas,” enter a project name, and choose “Create Project and Open Canvas.” This creates a project in the team you own, rather than another team you happen to be viewing.

1. Find and open a project

  1. Select all projects or team projects. If you can access multiple teams, narrow the list by team.
  2. Search by project name or team name.
  3. Open a project row and check its name, status, and existing episodes.

The list includes closed projects. If a search returns nothing, clear the search and team filters. Use Retry or Refresh when loading fails.

2. Organize content by episode

  1. Select “Add” in the Episodes section of the project page.
  2. Open the new episode card when it appears.
  3. Browse and organize storyboards, videos, characters, scenes, props, audio, and other available asset categories.

You can edit an episode card's note. Read the confirmation before deleting an episode: it warns that the episode's assets will also be deleted and that the action cannot be undone. Download or back up anything you need first.

An episode is usually optional on generation pages, but selecting one helps organize later results. A successful generation does not by itself confirm that an asset is available in an episode. Check the result's asset status or use its import action.

3. Open a canvas or the editor

  • Existing project canvas: open it from the project's canvas list. Editing access also allows renaming or archiving.
  • Canvas work for an episode: open the episode asset page and select “Open Canvas.” On the first visit, the page retrieves or creates the episode's default canvas.
  • Editing for an episode: select “Open Editor” on the same page to enter a workspace with the current project and episode context.

These entries depend on your feature permissions. The project's canvas list manages existing canvases and currently has no separate New Canvas button.

Project management and members

"Project Management" on the project page opens management for the team project. To change membership, open Member Management in Team Management and select the relevant project in the member view selector. See Team Members and Project Permissions.

What you should see

The project page lists episodes and existing canvases. Episode pages show categorized assets and, when permitted, canvas and editor entries. Check the workspace's project and episode before continuing so your content belongs to the intended production.

Troubleshooting

  • The project is closed: historical content remains readable, while creation, renaming, archiving, and other editing actions are disabled. Contact the project manager if production needs to resume.
  • You are not a member, or the project is unavailable: check your account and project access. Missing or archived projects are unavailable as production entries.
  • No canvas or editor entry: check the relevant feature permissions. Create an episode first if needed, and reload if the page reports a request failure.
